The Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CDPT) and BAIKALSEA Company have completed the first part of the experiment on mandatory labelling of drinking packaged water, which is taking place in Russia from 1 April 2020 to 1 June 2021.
More than 160 thousand bottles of natural deep water "BAIKAL430" and mineral water "Irkutskaya" were put into circulation at the company's production facility in Irkutsk. The point of the experiment was to test the operation of the equipment that applies the marking code to each bottle on the line and then reads out the data on the produced product.
“Labeling is a natural process that will deliver the results that consumers expect. This is precisely a guarantee of the authenticity of products and, as a result, quality. Of course, increased competition, including the burden of an enterprise due to the need for additional investments, is a negative point, however, to ensure the safety of consumers, these costs must be borne. In the long term, data on the movement of all the company's products can help in the analysis of sales and interaction with partners, including retail chains,” says Vyacheslav Bulatov, the Production Director.
